# Acceptable Use Policy **Last Updated:** August 19, 2026 This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") explains prohibited and restricted uses of the **10CNumber** virtual number and SMS/voice verification services. This AUP forms part of the 10CNumber Terms of Service. ## 1. Permitted Use Users may use 10CNumber for legitimate purposes, including: * Receiving permitted SMS messages. * Receiving permitted voice verification codes. * Testing applications where virtual numbers are allowed. * Software and service testing. * Account verification where permitted by the relevant platform. * Business or development purposes that comply with applicable laws and third-party policies. Users are responsible for ensuring that their intended use is permitted by the relevant third-party platform. ## 2. Fraud and Deception You may not use 10CNumber to: * Commit fraud. * Impersonate another person or organization. * Create deceptive identities. * Conduct financial scams. * Obtain money through deception. * Defraud customers or businesses. * Facilitate fraudulent transactions. ## 3. Account Abuse You may not use the Service to: * Circumvent account bans. * Evade platform security systems. * Create accounts for prohibited purposes. * Circumvent anti-abuse mechanisms. * Defeat rate limits. * Manipulate referral systems. * Abuse promotional programs. * Artificially inflate registrations or engagement. ## 4. Phishing and Credential Theft Strictly prohibited: * Phishing. * Credential theft. * OTP theft. * Password theft. * Account takeover. * Fake login pages. * Social engineering intended to obtain unauthorized access. * Using verification messages to obtain another person's credentials. ## 5. Hacking and Unauthorized Access You may not use the Service to facilitate: * Unauthorized access. * Hacking. * Exploitation of vulnerabilities. * Malware distribution. * Botnet activity. * Credential stuffing. * Brute-force attacks. * Unauthorized penetration testing. * Data theft. * Denial-of-service attacks. Authorized security testing must have appropriate permission from the system owner. ## 6. Spam and Harassment You may not use the Service for: * Unsolicited bulk messaging. * Harassment. * Threats. * Stalking. * Intimidation. * Abusive communications. * Repeated unwanted contact. ## 7. Illegal Activities The Service may not be used to facilitate activities that violate applicable law. This includes activities involving: * Fraud. * Theft. * Extortion. * Blackmail. * Money laundering. * Sanctions evasion. * Illegal marketplaces. * Illegal gambling where prohibited. * Cybercrime. * Unauthorized access. * Distribution of illegal content. ## 8. Child Safety Any use involving child sexual exploitation, grooming, sexual abuse, trafficking, or related illegal activity is strictly prohibited. 10CNumber may immediately suspend accounts and preserve relevant information where legally appropriate. ## 9. Privacy and Personal Information Users may not use the Service to unlawfully obtain, collect, expose, sell, or distribute another person's private or personal information. ## 10. Third-Party Platform Rules Users must comply with the rules of websites and applications where they use 10CNumber numbers. You may not use our Service specifically to circumvent: * Verification restrictions. * Anti-fraud systems. * Anti-spam controls. * Account limitations. * Platform bans. * Identity requirements. * Rate limits. ## 11. Automated Abuse The following may be restricted or prohibited when they create abuse or excessive load: * Automated mass activation. * Excessive API requests. * Automated number cycling. * Automated account creation. * Scraping. * High-volume verification attempts. * Attempts to overload or disrupt our infrastructure. Legitimate API usage may be permitted subject to applicable API limits and separate API terms. ## 12. Prohibited Content and Destinations We may block or restrict access to destinations associated with: * Fraud. * Phishing. * Malware. * Illegal activities. * Abuse. * Spam. * Exploitation. * Significant security risks. We may update restricted destinations without prior notice when necessary to protect the Service. ## 13. Enforcement Depending on the severity of an incident, we may: * Issue a warning. * Restrict functionality. * Limit requests. * Block a number or destination. * Suspend an account. * Terminate an account. * Cancel pending transactions. * Preserve relevant records. * Notify third-party providers. * Cooperate with lawful authorities. We may take immediate action when necessary to prevent ongoing harm. ## 15. No Circumvention Attempts to evade enforcement actions are prohibited. This includes: * Creating replacement accounts after termination. * Using another person's account. * Using payment methods to bypass restrictions. * Manipulating identifying information. * Circumventing technical restrictions. ## 16. Changes to This Policy We may update this AUP as new security, legal, technical, or operational risks arise. The current version will be published on the 10CNumber website. ## 17.
